Not to be Taken / Bottle made in Japan. Vertical groove either side of embossing on front panel. 5 vertical grooves to the two panels beside the front. No under base mark.. Poison. Generic. Hexagonal. Tool finished top. Purple/Violet. 2 oz. 102 mm. 1910s - 1920s
Near Mint. (9.4). Typical crude Japanese made bottle from the First World War period. Big manufacturing fold over and around the front right top. Almost no wear or other marks. A most unusual colour, as made, it is a kind of Violet to Purple. Distinctly different to the usual cobalt blue of these. The comparison picture with the Septol (Lot 61) shows the difference a bit although I feel it is even more obvious in the flesh. Estimate: $40-80
